Position Description
The Patient Advocate investigates complaints and grievances submitted by patients/families throughout AU Medical Center, CHOG, and AUMC outpatient clinics. This is accomplished through: evaluation of patient/family perspective through direct communication with all involved parties (e.g., faculty, staff, administration); review of relevant records; routine consultation with clinical/administrative leadership, Risk Management, and Grievance Committee as needed, in addition to other departments and programs on an ad hoc basis.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years or more of experience in paid professional experience in a medical or healthcare setting. Conflict Resolution Training.
Preferred Requirements
5 years or more of experience in paid professional experience in a medical or healthcare setting. Mediation Training.
