Job Summary
- The Patient Access Supervisor will be responsible for the Registration Department personnel management, front-end revenue cycle coordination, staff training, front-end revenue cycle software implementation and maintenance, denial avoidance and staff compliance with all established policies and procedures.
- The supervisor will work with stakeholders to understand complex issues, recognize decision points and design and deliver creative solutions while partnering with a wide variety of clinical settings.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate’s Degree in Business, Health Information Management, or a related field is preferred.
- One to three years of front-end revenue cycle supervisory / leadership experience in a large healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proven experience effectively managing multiple projects and personnel is preferred
