Overview:

ESI, A Xerox Company is hiring a Parts Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Parts department. This includes developing of parts personnel; overseeing day to day operations including ordering, receiving, restocking, inventory management, dead stock, sourcing, best source pricing and availability, communications, and reporting, as well as other duties listed below. This position requires self motivation and in-direct supervision. Working hours may, on occasion, extend past Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.


Job Functions:


  • Perform staffing analysis to determine the appropriate personnel recommended to process volume of items ordered and received as well as all functions provided in the parts department.
  • Recruit and interview making recommendations as to preferred candidates for hiring
  • Employee development and training (Oversee, Training, Coaching, Reviews)
  • Develop and maintain inventory management documents.
  • Provide management with business or activity plans as requested
  • Oversee transactions through parts department via management by exception
  • Support other departments in goal achievement
  • Oversee and pursue inventory requirements to minimize outstanding orders
  • Provides initial approval of all purchases and invoices related to the parts department
  • Maintain high level of quality of work while multi-tasking several items
  • Oversee and track credits from transactions involving warranty, core returns, credits or mis-ordered items.
  • Involved in all aspects of inventory management including physical counts, restocking levels and best practice procedures for improving / reducing inventory costs.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good understanding of billing and reimbursement procedures for all service types
  • Possess understanding of purchasing, receiving and accounts payables procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of a computer with Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Outlook email
  • Communicates effectively, orally and written, with customers, coworkers, vendors and management


Experience / Education:


  • Required: At least 3 years experience in inventory management, purchasing and receiving.
  • Preferred: At least 5 years experience in inventory management, purchasing and receiving.
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: 2 Year College Degree or better


Physical Requirements:


  • This position requires the ability to lift products up to 50 lbs.
  • This position requires the judgment of the individual to request help when lifting more than 50 lbs.
