MIchael Hohl Motor Company is looking for a Parts Driver to join our team!

Parts Driver Responsibilties:

  • Primary focus of parts driver is to assist in checking in parts while they are being delivered by outsidefreight and delivery companies, sort and deliver to necessary locations as required.
  • Parts driver will be responsible for keeping the shipping receiving area cleaning and free of obstructions throughout course of work day. Parts driver will also help keep company delivery vehicle clean and notify management of necessary maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • During receipt of incoming parts to dealership, the parts driver will identify packages are in good and undamaged condition.
  • Identify that all parts are for the dealership, and the correct quantity is signed for before outside delivery company departs (Example: UPS wants a signature for two pieces but is only dropping off one).
  • Note any discrepancies on Bill of Lading from delivery source.
  • Once all packages have been signed for, parts driver will check in all packages via the appropriate packing slip, make any notes of overages or shortages on packing slip, receive correct amount in dealership computer system, process any parts number changes at same time (supersessions).
  • Once all parts are checked in, place special order labels on items received for customers as needed, any remaining parts left for stock should be returned to stocking bin location.
  • After all parts are checked in, labeled and placed in appropriate bin, all packing slips can be filed in correct location in file cabinet.
  • Parts driver will print special order lists for parts counterman and service dept./service advisors and hand out to appropriate personnel.
  • Parts driver will be responsible for gathering any parts invoiced for delivery to wholesale businesses and deliver in safe and timely manner. Driver will also collect any monies due while delivering parts via amount on invoice.
  • Parts driver will collect any requested returns from wholesale customers and return to dealership for possible credit if approved by parts manager.
  • Parts driver will cashier all wholesale parts invoices once he/she returns to dealership from deliveries.
  • Parts driver will assist in removing any warranty scrap parts for disposal.
  • Parts driver may be required to perform tasks not limited to what is listed above as needed during daily dealership business requires.

Parts Driver Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic
