Overview:

Transdev is seeking a Parts Clerk for Paratransit Service in Allentown, PA.


The position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Parts Department under general supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • May be required to drive company vehicle to pick up incoming stock or to pick up and deliver parts to units in other buildings or locations.
  • Contact suppliers to obtain the best prices.
  • Initiate complex requisitions with explicit ordering specifications.
  • Maintain part catalogs, order parts, track, and monitor purchase orders under established purchasing guidelines.
  • Contact manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers as needed regarding service, delivery, and new products.
  • Receive incoming orders and stores material.
  • Maintain warrant records and return defective items.
  • Operate a computer to enter data and extract a variety of data.
  • Organize and maintain a variety of lists, control records, logs, forms, data sheets, requisitions, purchase orders and other related documents.
  • Code and submit all invoices for the department in a timely manner.
  • Review daily DVIR logs for vehicles.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required:

  • 2 or more years of experience in the acquisition, disbursement, and inventory of vehicle parts and supplies required.
  • 1 or more years of administrative experience required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.


Education, Licensing, and Certifications Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required.
  • Associates degree or military experience in inventory control and purchasing preferred.


Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must submit to drug testing and a background check.
  • Must have clear background and driving record.

hysical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; and smell.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a shop environment with moderate noise.
