Job description
A New Leaf has partnered with AmeriCorps Oklahoma to offer a part-time (20 hours per week) to expand our volunteer program. AmeriCorps is the domestic Peace Corps and this position is a one year commitment beginning January 9th, 2023 and will end May1, 2023.
Responsibilities
- Conduct program outreach and partnerships with community groups.
- Assess current volunteer program and make recommendations to revise program.
- Develop technical resources to be used for program delivery.
- Recruit, manage, and or train volunteers to enhance program.
- Saturday Availability. Saturdays mandatory, but not every Saturday.
- Data tracking, data collection and reporting.
- Prepare and submit reports on services provided.
- Managing Daily tasks and meeting with departments.
- Computer literate.
- Complete all AmeriCorps training & Service requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident.
- Complete a National Service criminal background check.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation, but does not need to have a car.
- Able to get to site and other necessary locations.
- If driving, driver's license and good driving record.
- Public Speaking skills
- Basic Computer skills.
- Ability to balance tasks.
- Comfortable speaking and engaging staff and clients.
Preferred Skills
- Interest or background in nonprofit programs.
- Commitment to national service.
- Desire to help strengthen local communities.
- Management skills a plus.
- Multi tasking ability.
