Shore Neuropsychology and Behavioral Health is a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians in the Monmouth and Ocean County area in central Jersey. We have two office locations in Brick and Red Bank, NJ. We offer neuropsychological and psychological testing services, individual psychotherapy, biofeedback therapy, couples and family therapy, and cognitive rehabilitation services.

Shore Neuropsychology and Behavioral Health is currently looking to hire a part-time medical biller for our Brick office. This individual will be primarily handling our MVA/PIP and Workers’ Compensation claims.

The job responsibilities include the following:

• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically and via mail
• Communicate with insurance company representatives to track payments and confirm patient coverage information
• Investigate outstanding claims and settle denials to ensure payment is received
• Monitor sent claims and payments received in order to accurately record the provider’s monthly and quarterly earnings
• Manage the practice’s insurance status of accounts and quickly identify and resolve inconsistencies
• Process all record requests in a timely manner

Experience Required (minimum):

• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Minimum of one to three years of experience working in a medical office setting
• Knowledge of appeals process in accordance with NJ fee schedule
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines
• Ability to interpret EOBs
• Previous experience of submitting MVA/WC claims/appeals
• Effective communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Self-disciplined individual who takes initiative

Preferred Experience:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other software proficiency

Preferred Education:

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Healthcare Administration

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
