English Plaza Animal Hospital, is a full-service animal hospital with a complete boarding facility specializing in the care of cats and dogs. Our Mission is to provide the most caring and honest service possible to our patients or guests, and their human friends. English Plaza Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital that has been serving Homestead and surrounding areas for almost 40 years. We are fortunate to have clients that make the drive from North Florida and all through out the Keys. We have over 45,000 patients but we always remember that we are only as good as our last case.
We have exceptional associates who are committed to the highest quality of medicine, excellent client service and compassionate care. We are well-equipped with Idexx in-house analyzers, digital radiography, and full surgical suite with multi-parameter monitoring equipment including ECG, SpO2, and Blood Pressure. We have a separate isolation ward as well as an ICU ward for hospitalized patients needing intensive IV fluid therapy or post surgical monitoring. We have a well-trained staff including veterinary technicians, assistants and a hospital manager.
We are seeking a Part-Time Kennel Technician to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.
The Kennel Tech is responsible for maintaining back of hospital duties. These tasks include: caring for boarding animals, maintaining appropriate feeding schedules/providing prescribed medication to pets, maintaining the kennel area (cleaning and mopping), bathing animals and upholding the highest level of care for all pets. Additional duties may include general cleaning of the hospital and communicating directly with clients.
Applicants must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. Our next team member will be an energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours and weekends.
