Position Summary: The Full Time Fishing Department Sales Associate at Islands Ace Hardware will use their knowledge of fishing equipment and fresh and saltwater fishing to assist customers and order merchandise.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with vendors to supply or restock fishing department products
- Assist with receiving, down stocking and stocking merchandise in the fishing department and throughout the store, when needed
- Assist with merchandise resets
- Help with price changes, special orders and ensuring that signage is current throughout the store
- Willing to learn additional services provided at Ace, including, glass cutting, key cutting, screen repair and propane refills
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
- Technically proficient in computer systems including related software
- Gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records.
- Take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly.
- Interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Working indoors and outdoors in extreme heat
- Standing/walking for long periods of time
- Climbing ladders several times during a shift
- Lifting/adjusting/moving objects of up to 75lbs
