Testive is a 100% digital adaptive learning platform that includes customized questions served up by an AI algorithm using Item Response Theory--the same assessment methodology used by the SAT and ACT. Students practice on 90-minute or full-length tests. Testive combines ed tech with live coaching to accelerate learning and exam preparation.
A-List acquired Testive in August 2020, and is in the process of integrating the brands to offer a broad range of scalable tools to better serve a wider audience of learners and test takers.
THE ROLE
We are currently hiring part-time college advisors with in-school college counseling and access experience. The role is in person in Brooklyn, NY, 2-3 days per week.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years in a formal college counselor role for a NYC DOE School
-Be able to work with high school alumni to fill out TAP, FAFSA, and other paperwork
-Be able to train other college counselors
-Have strong writing and editing skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of college advising experience preferred
-Be able to commit to a minimum of one academic year (September–June, with the understanding that the admissions cycle is most active from August-December)
-Primary advising hours are afternoons, evenings and weekends
-Attend regular staff check-ins, either in person or remotely
