Server Job Responsibilities:

· Prepares room for dining by setting place mats, condiments, napkins, service

plates, glassware, and utensils.

· Works with team members to ensure all sections are ready for service and all

necessary items for service have been stocked and are readily available for use.

· Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and

alcohol beverage control policies.

· Welcomes and thanks the guest for joining them for meal/drink.

· Helps patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails

and appetizers; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties;

identifying appropriate wines/beers; answering food preparation questions.

· Transmits orders to bar and kitchen through system by accurately recording patrons' choices and identifying patrons' special requests.

· Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.

· Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments in timely fashion.

· Anticipates additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process ensuring meal is to guests satisfaction.

· Maintains table by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling glasses so that they never reach half empty; being alert to needs

· Concludes dining experience by thanking guest for their visit and inviting to return.

· Obtains revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting and charging payment; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons while obtaining receipts/signature for restaurant records.

· Organizes, files and submits all records appropriately (manager, audit, etc.)

· Maintains cleanliness of dining area including chairs, tables, floor, ect.

· Other duties as directed.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

General Math Skills, Verbal Communication, Customer Service, Resolving Conflict, Teamwork, Persistence, Energy Level, Selling to Customer Needs, Thoroughness, Professionalism, Client Relationships, Ability to Lift/Move Heavy Objects Up to 30 lbs, Ability to be on Feet for Approximately 8 Hours

Server Certifications:
Server Permit required by the State of New Mexico & Food Handler Certification
