Job description

Seaside Arts Center is looking for an experienced art instructor to teach afterschool arts courses on Mondays and Thursdays for children, ages 5-15. This position will have the flexibility to create it's own curriculum, infusing any particular areas of interest into the semester's coursework.

We are a non-profit, multi-disciplinary arts school based in Carmel Valley for students of all ages. We believe cost should never limit a child's ability to receive a quality arts education, so we offer an in-house scholarship program, as well as partner with other organizations to offer classes to youth at risk, or who would otherwise receive little-to-no arts education.

Approximately 5-10/hours week, potentially more if interested in working with some of our partner schools/organizations throughout San Diego. Looking to hire as soon as possible, with the position beginning in early January. The semester runs through early June.

Requirements:

• A love of children and a positive attitude
• Art background and passion for the arts
• Experience in teaching children
• Reliable transportation with current car insurance
• DOJ/FBI background check will be done for this position

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
