We are seeking an individual, who has demonstrated a willing commitment to these values, holding them in high regard, to join our team as a Park Irrigation Maintenance Worker.

The purpose of this position is to assist in maintenance of City irrigation systems. This is accomplished by inspecting existing irrigation systems, performing preventative maintenance and repairing irrigation systems as needed. Other duties may include assisting other employees as needed and interfacing with other City employees.

The schedule of this position will generally be Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., with overtime, weekends and special events as needed.

• Provides premier customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Performs repair to City irrigation by identifying faulty or problematic parts, replacing and repairing when appropriate, performing preventative maintenance.
• Operates equipment including tractors, trenchers, misc. digging tools and hand tools.
• Program City master irrigation controller as well as standalone irrigation clocks.
• Assist department in preparing for special events including athletic games, Country Day on the Hill, Christmas tree lighting and others.
• Regular attendance required.

• Work requires the ability to read and understand written instructions, to understand simple processes and the routine operation of machines. Level of knowledge equivalent to less than high school or equivalency.
• No experience required. However, preference may be given to candidates with irrigation experience.
• Valid Texas driver's license required.
