25 hours per week
Position Summary:
Kids' Company and WRAP offer child care services for ages 3-Grade 5. As a float you would be working within the program wherever there is a need
Job Summary:
Assists in supervising daily activities by interacting with children or youth, assisting in preparing site for daily activities, enforcing program behavioral rules and safety guidelines, and providing support by working closely with students on site projects, providing support for the homework help service, and assisting in the programming of site activities. In addition, this position will provide support to students in their social and emotional development by working with students who may require additional assistance.
Work Requirements and Characteristics:
- Education/Certification/Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Completion of a 1040 child contact hours using a combination of district training programs, experience, and coursework of an equivalent nature and level to perform the requirements of the work.
- CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to become certified within the first 90 days of employment, if needed.
- Valid Minnesota Driver's License
Experience:
- 1-3 years of early childhood or youth programming experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work effectively with students of all ages and abilities in a positive manner
- Ability to communicate in oral, written and web-based communication format with district personnel, staff, and families
- Ability to exercise confidentiality in handling district information
