Paralegal
Job description
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of how to use the Michigan efile system. Familiarity with Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Monroe County Family Law Division preferred but will train if willing to learn. Familiar with legal documents, such as subpoenas, motions, and summonses. Experience keeping attorney calendars, scheduling deadlines, court dates, appointments. Comfortable communicating with potential clients or other attorney's offices via email, over the phone, or in person. Strong information and record management skills -- ability to receive and organize large volumes of information and records for both electronic and paper storage. Ability to prioritize. Proofreading skills. PC Proficiency with experience in Excel spreadsheets and Word. Verbal Communication, Internal Communications, Dependability, Professionalism, Client Relationships and ability to function independently. Pay commensurate with experience. Expected schedule 12 hours as three half days per week. $12 - $18/hour
