Essential Duties:

  • Arrives to work on time and punches in and out as required
  • Wears complete uniform as required for safety and sanitation
  • Follows all standard operating procedures while packing all food items as required by site menu and event number
  • Follows all standard operating procedures while packing all equipment items as required by equipment lists
  • Identifies any errors on packing documents (menus and equipment lists) and rectifies them immediately
  • Effectively manages packing and expediting multiple events in a single day
  • Ensures all product and equipment are accurate and accounted for on each event
  • Adheres to scheduled timelines for having all event food and equipment packed and ready for on time departures
  • Communicates in a clear and timely fashion with management, production and warehouse
  • Eliminates need for second deliveries
  • Maintains cleanliness of packing cooler, sweeps, mops, cleans and sanitizes all surfaces including walls and ceilings, disposes of out of date product.
  • Organizes shelving lists and on a weekly basis and keeps them orderly and legible.
  • Assists production team as needed


Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language in order to read complex menus and communicate clearly with management and floor production team and floor warehouse team
  • Culinary degree and 2 years’ experience in high volume production kitchen, lead position
  • Accelerated culinary vocabulary and product identification skills
  • Ability to identify minute details in regard to product quality or quantity and resolve any issues in a timely fashion
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to understand culinary conversions and generally identify weight and volume by sight.
  • Advanced time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion to an excellent degree of satisfaction with little or no supervision
  • Basic working knowledge of the fundamentals of cooking, kitchen equipment operation, safety and sanitation
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with other team members
  • Must provide valid Foodhandler or Food Service Manager Certificate within 30 days of hire Food Service Manager Certificate preferred
