Position Summary
The Packer role works on the assembly line in production of finished good and Work in Process (WIP), following standard operating procedures. Will perform on-line and off-line inspections and sort goods. Will be required to maintain productivity and standard line speed. Will perform rework and cleaning when not assigned to production line. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for meeting daily production requirements when packing or inserting materials.
- Maintain quality standards by performing visual inspections to ensure finished goods conform to quality standards ensuring finished goods are packaged correctly.
- Ensure quantities of packaged finished goods are accurate.
- Consistently contribute to team productivity by performing duties properly and in a timely manner.
- Responsible and accountable for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in training new workers.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with plant rules, policies and procedures.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner using proper tools and wearing appropriate protective equipment as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- At least three months experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instruction.
- Must be able to physically endure work schedule.
- Ability to perform routine or repetitive work.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Work is performed on moving assembly line while standing.
