Job Title: Overnight Camp Counselor

Location: Swift Nature Camp- 2 hrs from St Paul

Job Type: Seasonal, Full-time

This is the summer for an Adventure, meeting new friends, doing cool activities and making life long memories. As a college student chances are you will have limited opportunities in life to have such an adventure. Plus, we can do a Paid Internship!

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Overnight Camp Counselor to join our team and help provide a safe and memorable camping experience for our campers. As a counselor, you will have the opportunity to work in a beautiful natural setting and engage in a variety of exciting outdoor activities. Learn more at www.SNC.Camp

Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision and ensure the safety of campers at all times
• Lead and participate in a wide range of outdoor activities, including hiking, swimming, canoeing, fishing, and more
• Plan and facilitate creative and educational activities that inspire campers to learn about and appreciate nature
• Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages campers to form lasting friendships and develop important life skills
• Serve as a role model for campers and demonstrate positive behavior and attitudes
• Build strong relationships with campers and provide support and guidance as needed
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions to continuously improve your skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• some experience working with children,
• Decent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong commitment to safety and enforcing camp rules and guidelines
• Passion for nature and the outdoors
• Positive attitude and ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
