The Smile Spot is a dental group practice that provides pediatric and orthodontic dental services. We are locally owned & operated & seeking hard-working professionals to join our team!

Current Openings: The Smile Spot is a multi-specialty practice. We are looking to add an orthodontic practice manager to our Springfield team! The Orthodontic Practice Manager is responsible for working to ensure the performance and success of the orthodontic department. The success will be measured by accurate execution of standards, guidelines, policies and procedures as well as working together with the orthodontic team to provide our patients and their families with a first class experience each and every time!

We are looking for someone with solid Dental practice management experience in dental, orthodontics, or other dental specialities or a strong dental assisting or front office background (preferably in ortho) who is willing to learn and train. This is NOT an entry level positon and REQUIRES either strong dental or preferably orthodontic experience. If you do not have dental/orthondotic experience we encourage you to apply for some of our entry level positions to gain experience in the field. Must be available to work varied hours M-Fri between 7:30am-6:00pm. We will have schedules prepared 2-3 weeks in advance which will help you to plan for yourself. We are a busy practice that houses a full Pediatric Dentistry practice AND Orthodontic Practice so you will be working closely with our Regional and Pediatric management teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily management of orthodontic operations including patient scheduling, patient flow, collecting copays, posting of procedures, insurance verification, answering phones, interacting with families, patient follow-up, in-office marketing, etc.
  • Resolves problems by clarifying the issues involved; researching and exploring answers and providing alternative solutions
  • Provide regular feedback to the Practice Administrator on employee performance and take an active role in leading the employees’ annual reviews and any disciplinary actions
  • Responsible for successful onboarding and training of all new Orthodontic Treatment Coordinators and Patient Coordinators.
  • Act as the central point of contact for orthodontic teams
  • Lead and coach other team members
  • Assist the Practice Administrator in structured and complete execution of any revised or new company policies
  • Support the Claims and Payments department by ensuring that the company’s financial policies are accurately executed and that all commitments are being met on time
  • Order and maintain office supplies in a cost effective manner according to defined budgets
  • Ensure the team is provided with a safe and clean working environment and that our patients are wowed by the overall appearance of our office
  • Resolve customer complaints and/or billing questions to the customer’s satisfaction
  • Ensure strict compliance with all company policies and pertinent laws and regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, Dental Board, Employee Policy, Basic Labor laws, etc…)
  • Work with the practice administrator to audit contracts, fees, acceptance ratios and strive for continuous improvement of the processes, providing accurate metrics of KPIs
  • Maintain clear and concise communication and create strong relationships between the orthodontic, pediatric and home office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
