Location: Rosenberg Orthodontics

Scope: The Orthodontist Assistant ensures that patients receive quality dental care and a great patient experience. This includes ensuring patients are comfortable and understand the treatment they are scheduled to receive, being “one step” ahead of the Dentist in providing instruments and material and being clinically sound when assisting the dentist. The Orthodontist Assistant reports to the Practice Manager.

Orthodontist Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• 
  Maintaining accurate records of patient’s oral health histories and treatment progress.
• Ensuring that all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use.
• Taking Panoramic and Cephalometric X-Rays.
• Aid the Doctor during procedures including preparation and documentation.
• Educate patients on their treatment plans as well as maintaining their oral health.
• Ability to change and remove wires, brackets, and adhesive, take impressions, take scans, prepare teeth for bonding.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment possessing excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, establishing positive relationships with our team and patients
• Motivate patients to follow doctor recommendations by carefully tracking each patient’s care plan at every visit.
• Maintain a caring and friendly environment that reinforces our company’s core values.
• Display a positive and flexible approach to teamwork in order to provide the best patient care at all times.

Education:

• 
  2 or more years of experience as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant
• BANB certified preferred
• High School, or GED Required, Bachelors preferred
• CPR certification
