Job description
The Organizing Specialist implements in-home organizing projects with the guidance and planning of the In-Home Organizing Specialist (IHOS). They are also scheduled in their home store performing a range of duties. This is a full-time or part-time, hourly, non-exempt position.
- This role requires all day availability on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
- Partners with In-Home Organizing Specialist (IHOS) to execute organization project plans and systems in customer homes
- Collaborates and maintains consistent communication with their Store Manager Team and In-Home Organizing Specialist to complete projects from inquiry through organization
- When not organizing in homes, serves customers throughout the store, suggesting solutions to their organizational challenges and generating leads for In-Home Organizing
- Welcomes and greets all customers throughout the store
- Adheres to the time expectations established for the role, performing tasks with accuracy and timeliness, while exhibiting pace and attention to detail
- Maintains a safe working and shopping environment, utilizing all available resources, ensuring safety and security of the employees, customers and property
- Actively engages with customers to solve their organizational challenges
- Handles cash and other valuables appropriately and securely

- Assists customers with personal confidential information related to the Company credit card and application process
- Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
- Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information

- Retail sales experience a plus
- Experience in the Custom Closet and Storage industry and/or working with design professionals is highly desired
- Demonstrated aptitude for building and maintaining effective relationships
- Attention to detail and excellent reporting and documentation skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
- Salesforce systems experience a plus
- Has reliable personal vehicle for transportation for travel to customers’ homes for scheduled appointments (due to the need to carry product and supplies to jobs and haul off trash and donations, public transportation will not work for this job)
- Must maintain valid automobile insurance
- Must pass appropriate state car inspection and sign vehicle inspection form
- Must sign Authorization to Obtain Motor Vehicle Record
- Has reliable personal phone for business needs
- Strong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently from a remote location based on the Company Telecommuting Policy
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
