Position Summary:

The Order Picker pulls merchandize from stock. Loads items on pallet and pulls with manual or electric pallet jack by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Obtains pick list to determine items to be gathered.

Scans pick list and the item number with Scanforce gun.

Picks lot where items will be pulled from.

Writes quantity of each item pulled, pallet it was placed on and makes note of any out of stock items on the pick list..

Scans lot number on rack prior to pulling items.

Scans box and enters number of boxes to be pulled.

Counts boxes and places on pallet.

Verifies count.

Takes finished pallet to shrink wrap machine and wraps.

Labels pallet with order number and moves to the staging area.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

One-month related experience or training.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to read, speak and write in the English language.
  • Ability to work both independently.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays.

ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
