The Operating Room Care Technician is a member of the health care team who performs direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN.
- Preparation of patients for surgery and procedures
- Assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room
- Cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers
- Stocking items and organization of products and equipment
For BayCare's hospital units, on call will be required. You must be able to respond to the facility within 30 minutes when on call.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- BLS from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross or Military
This position is for Hillsborough County Hospitals.
