Rexburg Vision Center is currently seeking a Optician. For over 50 years, Rexburg Vision Center has been serving the community by providing superior care for people’s visual and ocular health needs. We manage many eye diseases and conditions as well as provide routine visual care.
The Optician will primarily be focused on:
- Greeting incoming patients and assisting them with their needs.
- Help patients check in and inform the doctor of their arrival.
- Verifying and billing the patient’s insurance.
- Fitting and adjusting glasses.
- Helping the patients with new contact lenses.
- Assist with phone calls and setting up appointments.
- Other duties as assigned.
The preferred candidate for the Optician will have the following:
- Experience in a medical setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.
- Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations
- Able to effectively multitask.
- Strong understanding of Excel and Word.
- Open and able to learn our current billing software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
