Help Wanted: Operation Support Specialist

We are expanding our team, and searching for an enthusiastic, flexible, and detail-oriented person who is interested in joining the Empowering Kids support staff. This position will assist in a variety of areas to include, but not limited to, accounting, human resources, state licensing, insurance billing, and resource development.

Job Description

Accounting

  • Entering income, expenses, paying bills and maintenance in Quickbooks.
  • Keeping track of income and expense documentation.
  • Setting up a purchasing system.
  • Assisting with annual audit and taxes.
  • Monthly account reconciliations.
  • Updating policies and procedures.

Human Resources / State Licensing

  • Onboard, organize, and maintain employee files to comply with varying organizational licenses.
  • Maintaining background study files.
  • Setting up required training for new and existing employees.
  • Assisting with biweekly payroll.
  • Updating policies and procedures.

Insurance Billing:

  • Checking eligibility for clients on a monthly basis
  • Requesting and sending records to and from other healthcare organizations for new and existing clients.
  • Assist with employee credentialing.

Fundraising

  • Updating and managing a donor and grant management system.
  • Helping with the planning and coordination of fundraising events. (This occasionally requires hours on a night or weekend)

Other duties as assigned and needed to maintain operations of the organization.

Other requirements:

  • Enjoys engaging with clients, families and staff in interactions needed to complete job tasks and add to a neurodiverse affirming organizational atmosphere.
  • Previous experience and a good working knowledge of Quickbooks, Google Drive, & Office 365.
  • Comfortable with using or learning how to use a variety of software for insurance billing, marketing, donor management, fundraising, etc…
  • Possession of a valid Minnesota Driver's License.
  • Pass a criminal background check.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

  • Work is performed in a medical office setting.
  • Frequent talking and listening.
  • Occasional lifting of twenty (20) pounds or more.

Education: Associates degree preferred but not required or candidates may apply having previous experience with the listed job duties.

Schedule:

  • 40 Hour work week
  • Monday - Friday (with an occasional evening or weekend event)
