Job Summary:

SelectQuote is seeking a highly capable Operations Monitoring Analyst to monitor our enterprise network infrastructure. In this role, you will be diagnosing and resolving network issues, maintaining our network infrastructure, and collaborating with our IT team to enhance our network's performance. You may also be required to configure system hardware and manage system back-ups.

To ensure success as a Monitoring Analyst, you should demonstrate a solid knowledge of network infrastructure. A top-notch Monitoring Analyst will be someone whose expertise results in a stable, fast and secure network environment. This individual will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving system and network issues without causing extended downtime for the IT systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support configuration, maintenance and upgrading of all networks and infrastructures.
  • Deploying and inspecting IT network systems.
  • Monitoring the performance and capacity of computer systems.
  • Performing regular checks on the network hardware and software.
  • Responding to network alerts and hardware malfunctions.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting network errors.
  • Tracking and documenting network issues and compiling incident reports.
  • Responding to user requests
  • Managing system backups and network security protocols.

Education and Experience:


  • Experience in IT regarding the support and resolution of hardware and software issues
  • Knowledge of Windows admin and Linux skills
  • Working knowledge of VoIP technology
  • Excellent understanding of technologies, operating systems, networking, anti-virus, back-ups, systems and firewalls
  • Knowledge regarding at least one of the following vendor products:- VMWare, Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet
  • Knowledge of network cabling, network classification and network topology

Certificates/Licenses/Registration

  • No specific required Licensing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
