Location: Deer Park, Texas

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager- Maintenance will be responsible for the overall day to day overall operations of mulitiple construction projects in the Gulf Coast and Midwest regions. The role implements safety programs, meets fixed and variable cost commitments, executes reliability and productivity programs, and complies with quality system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  The Operations Manager works with the project team to prioritize and coordinate maintenance and operations activities.
• Oversee the operation of the unit and associated equipment to continuously, complying with all environmental regulations and daily customer requirements.
• Maximize reliability in order to avoid unscheduled shutdowns resulting in interruption of supply to customers.
• Stay informed of potential deviation to operating plan.
• Oversee training requirements of maintenance team to ensure continuous monitoring and proactive checking the operation for efficiency.
• Ensure training of team to monitor critical equipment.
• Ensure all necessary safety, environmental and production records are properly maintained. Generates reports as required.
• Uses professional judgment in operating the facility safely, reliably, and efficiently at all times.
• Is responsible for writing standard operating procedures (SOP)s and standard maintenance procedures (SMPs).
• Ensures that SOPs are used to start and stop major equipment and processes to prevent unnecessary process delays and to maintain operational consistency and reliability.
• Frequently reviews SOPs and SMPs in order to provide guidance in procedural updates.
• Coordinates with the maintenance organization to plan and schedule required PMs and corrective maintenance requests.
• Works with the turnaround planning team to justify and execute work that must be completed during a plant outage.
• Effectively communicates operating instructions and guidelines to team and communicates deviations as needed.
• Effectively communicates to technicians, maintenance organization, facility manager, plant engineers, and the business group.
• Is accountable for adhering to all Corporate and plant policies including OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and TCEQ air, water, and waste regulations.

Job Requirements:

• 
  Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of construction experience
• 3+ years Demonstrated Leadership experience
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
