Operations Lead-Corporate Risk & Reinsurance Managment
WE OFFER
Organizes and leads key operational activities to ensure their timely completion such as process improvement initiatives, risk management activities, process documentation, IT system requirements, training initiatives and other such activities. This position will also coordinate with group personnel and the SVP of Corporate Reinsurance and Risk Management to establish group goals and objectives, develop plans to accomplish the objectives, and project manage them through completion In addition, the role supports day to day reinsurance accounting needs. The work requires close coordination with multiple HSB business groups to ensure alignment with business needs. The operations lead will also need to have a deep understanding of the various activities that the Corporate Reinsurance and Risk management group is responsible for, and provide support as needed.WE EXPECT
Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 4+ years insurance experience
- Direct experience in ceded reinsurance a plus
- Understanding of insurance operations, P&C underwriting, insurance contracts, insurance accounting, cat modeling, risk management a plus
- Must be a team-oriented individual
- Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance coverages (equipment breakdown, property)
- Insurance accounting and finance
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Organization skills
- Project management skills
- Proficient PC skills (Word, Excel)
