Our Opportunity:

Chewy is hiring a Finance Manager to join our Pharmacy Operations Finance team. In this role you will own reporting and analysis for Pharmacy Transportation and Inventory, as well as consolidation and reporting of total Pharmacy Operations Financials. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, successful and relevant experience in financial planning processes, financial systems and reporting, inventory management and supply chain finance. This role must balance many deliverables simultaneously, improve and transform processes and relationships across several different and expanding business models, and display strong leadership both within finance and across the broader organization. This role will report to the Director of Pharmacy Operations Finance at Chewy.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partnering with Supply Chain Finance, deliver business insight, reporting and analysis of Transportation costs to the Pharmacy Operations Leadership team.
  • Continuously track and report on inventory adjustments, including product expiry and damages, while identifying and driving savings opportunities.
  • Partnering with Corporate FP&A and Operations Long Term Planning teams, drive the financial planning, forecasting, and actual results reporting calendar, cadence, and processes for the organization.
  • Create mechanisms to inspect budgets, forecasts, and actual results to drive improved accuracy and attainment to financial plans.
  • Actively participate in the ongoing management of the business and influence decision making through strong relationships built with your cross-functional business partners.
  • Pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance.
  • Actively participate in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual planning processes, and perform risk and opportunities analyses to support resource allocations.
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate and timely.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as required by the leadership teams
  • Extract and analyze data from central databases using Hyperion, SQL and Tableau

What You’ll Need:

  • BA/BS in Finance, Business, or Information Systems degree required; MBA/CPA a plus
  • Supply Chain, Fulfillment, distribution center, industrial manufacturing, or operations experience
  • 5+ years related experience (Operations, Finance, logistics) and strong grasp of Finance.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, and experience in supporting business case development, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills; required proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to think creatively, work independently and as part of a team to solve problems given limited resources and time, have a strong work ethic, and adhere to deadlines.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities

Bonus:

  • Experience with financial systems (SAP, Hyperion, NAV, Oracle)
  • Advanced skills with relational databases (e.g. Access, SQL)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, MicroStrategy)
