This position is fully grant-funded with a grant end date of August 31, 2024.

Job Goal:

Region 4 is building a transformational Ed-Fi data interoperability solution for Texas K-12 public education and is looking for an Operations Coordinator to assist in day-to-day operations including contract development, vendor management, project management, and grant reporting.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, preferred

Experience:

  • Three years of related work experience in the area of education technology operations
  • Three years of experience with education technology software products

Special Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the Texas K-12 education landscape
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, priorities, and meet deadlines with attention to detail
  • Strategic orientation and solid analytical skills
  • Ability to document complex business and technical processes
  • Ability to collaborate with development teams, business partners, software engineers, and other stakeholders to enhance and improve product offerings

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of daily operational activities for the Exchange
  • Observe, review, and analyze processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Assist with project management by creating assignments, tracking progress, and resolving issues both internally and with business partners and vendors
  • Assist the Exchange Director in managing budgets and preparing financial reports for senior management and the Board
  • Assist with planning and organizing conferences, events, staff training, and employee engagement activities
  • Coordinate and strategically plan with Exchange Director to meet the goals and objectives of the grant requirements for Region 4, Texas Education Agency, and our philanthropic partners
  • Coordinate with the Exchange Director in developing agenda, presentations, and documentation for senior management and the Board
  • Work with business partners and marketing teams to manage product launches
  • Support vendor business development, contract, and relationship management
  • Contribute as part of a team that envisions and manages a superior user experience
  • Provide technical assistance, services, documentation, and reporting as specified by any applicable state grant that funds this position

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Assist the Exchange Director with the supervision and evaluation of program staff

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors/ Mental Demands:

Frequent use of standard office equipment; prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; repetitive hand motions (keyboarding and use of mouse); occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may work prolonged and irregular hours; work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under pressure.

Special Notes:

Although the primary location is Region 4 ESC, significant portions of this job may be done remotely due to the unique job responsibilities and duties of this time-bound grant-funded position. Specific schedule to be determined by department director.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $97,526.00 - $114,736.00 per year
