If you’re interested in working in functional medicine as a Naturopathic Oncologist, and are FABNO certified, the Riordan Clinic would be very interested in talking with you! The person we are looking to hire will be located in Overland Park, Kansas which is in Johnson County, and is ranked as number 14 out of 2,768 counties in the US. Overland Park has a relatively low cost of living, low crime, good schools, and great culture. The community is a suburb of a metropolitan area that is home to about 2.2 million people, and is home to 2 universities, 3 colleges, professional sports teams, and many major businesses including Cerner, AT&T, Black and Veatch, Citigroup, Children’s Mercy Hospital, and many others. The greater metropolitan area also has numerous shopping centers, museums, theater, and amusement parks.

Position details:

• Collaborates with other clinical service providers to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Responsibilities include performing complete health histories, conducting physical exams and reviewing the exam data, root cause analysis of the health care conditions and identifying the best course of treatment, as well as overall health counseling
• Orders and administers treatments such as Prolozone/PRP injections, Acupuncture, Intravenous Vitamin C, Helleborous, Mistletoe, Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation, Chelation, Thermography, etc.
• Educates co-learners about their diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment interventions that might be appropriate
• Coordinates care with referring physicians, traditional oncologists, specialists, etc.
• Manages co-learner’s quality of life (pain and symptoms related to treatments)
• Actively contributes to growing the practice by speaking at conferences, publishing whitepapers, books, and research; prepares content for newsletters and blogs; participates in podcasts
• Clinic professional staff includes a DO Chief Medical Officer, an MD Chief Medical Officer emeritus, an MD Laboratory Director, a FABNO certified Naturopathic Oncologist, a Physician Extender, twelve Nurses, seven Medical Assistants, and a Phlebotomist

Clinic details:

• Progressive, not-for-profit, integrative health clinic that is internationally known for work with intravenous vitamin C treatments and research
• Two locations which provide services for more than 3,500 patients annually
• The clinic provides nutrient testing and has an on-site laboratory

Requirements:

• Doctoral degree (ND) or equivalent; and one to three years Integrative Oncology experience, preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Graduate of an accredited naturopathic medical college in the US or Canada
• FABNO certification required
• Registered or eligible to register as a Naturopathic Physician in the state of Kansas
• MATC certification preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) required
• Knowledge of OSHA PPE guidelines
