On-call Crisis Clinician (Truckee); Evening and Weekend Positions

· Clinical Consultation provided as needed

· Clinical Supervision is offered

· Salary: Up to $36.00/hour

Reports to Crisis Supervisor and Crisis Assistant Supervisor

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences Field (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling Psychology, etc.)
• Licensed or Registered Associate by Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage & FamilyTherapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Psychologist (AMFT, LMFT, ASW, LCSW, APCC, LPCC, Psy.D). Supervision is provided.
• Demonstrated clinical skills to make sound decisions and ability to facilitate communication between and among multiple entities.
• At least 1 year in a behavioral health setting providing direct care to vulnerable populations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree or PhD and two (2) years of full-time/equivalent (FTE) direct care experience in a behavioral health setting
• Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of full-time/equivalent (FTE) direct care experience in a behavioral health setting
• Associate Arts Degree and six (6) years of full-time/equivalent (FTE) direct care experience in a behavioral health setting

The Crisis Specialist responds to the Emergency Room at Tahoe Forest Hospital to provide crisis assessments when needed. Crisis Specialist will be trained in 5150 Evaluations and will perform mental health assessments, providing brief intervention and/or referral and linkage to community resources, and follow-up. When appropriate, participates in seeking placement to an appropriate mental health inpatient unit.
