About the role:
The Off Duty Officer (ODO) provides a safe and secure environment for the client. Must be flexible and possess the ability to function in stressful situations. Ability to work independently and provide exceptional customer service to our clients. Build a safe and friendly setting for visitors and clients in a professional manner as well as safeguarding client assets. Observe for unusual activity and respond immediately and safely to emergency situations on-site
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- OBSERVE AND REPORT ANY IRREGULARITIES; INFORMING VIOLATORS OF POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
- SECURING DIFFERENT PREMISES OF THE PROPERTY
- CONTRIBUTE TO ASSIST ANY NEEDS RELATED TO SECURITY DUTIES AT LOCATION/POST
- EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF PUBLIC SAFETY/SECURITY PROTOCOL
- BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS TO ASSIST AND STAFF/CLIENTS ETC WITH QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS
- ABILITY TO WALK, STAND, AND SIT FOR LONG PERIODS AT A TIME
REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST HAVE A PC-832
- MUST HAVE VALID GUARD CARD
- MUST HAVE VALID EXPOSED FIREARM PERMIT
- MUST HAVE VALID BATON, PEPPER SPRAY, AND TASER PERMIT
- MUST HAVE MILITARY, POLICE/LAW ENFORCEMENT AND OR CORRECTIONAL OFFICER BACKGROUND
