JOB DESCRIPTION
The Strategic Kids Nutrition Assistant maintains food service facilities and assists in preparing, setting up, serving, and selling food at a middle school in Laguna Beach.
EXPERIENCE
Experience preparing and serving food is preferred. Experience working or volunteering with children is not required.
WORK HOURS
7 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 2:00pm
HOURLY RATE
$19
DUTIES
> Assists in the preparation and serving of pre-packaged food to students.
> Assists in maintaining the food service facility in a safe, clean and sanitary condition.
> Performs basic cashiering and math skills.
> Effectively communicates verbally with students.
> Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with staff.
> Performs other related duties as assigned.
> Pushing carts of food to varioius locations around the school.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
> Preparing and serving pre-packaged foods in large quantities
> Standard food service appliances and equipment
> Basic mathematical calculation processes and simple record-keeping procedures
> Follow sanitation procedures and safety practices
> Storage and rotation of perishable food
> Collect money and make change accurately
> Work quickly and efficiently, and can multitask
> Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
OTHER STRATEGIC KIDS JOBS
There are also Paraeducator jobs at elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Orange County! Work times vary, from 3.5 to 7 hours per day, from 7:30am to 4:45pm. The pay rate is $19 per hour. Let us know if you are interested!
