• Nursing Supervisor/Instructor is responsible for the direction, coordination and supervision of the agency's field staff. This position provides in-field professional supervision and on the job support to personal care aides. y may also assist with field competency testing of PCA's as well as instructing the State Approved PCA Training program in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities include:

• In-field client assessments
• Professional supervision for all field staff
• Ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service
• Attending team meetings as necessary
• Post hospitalization and fall visits
• Serving as liaison with care team, client and field staff
• Prepares and organizes instructional materials and training supplies
• Ability to complete reports following Company, DOH, and Regulated Agency policies

QUALIFICATIONS

• NYS Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing and Associate or Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 1 year supervising PCA, HHA's or CNA's required Homecare experience preferred
• Thorough knowledge of the scope of practice of professional and paraprofessional healthcare.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good Organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively share information with patients of all ages and socioeconomic levels.
• Knowledge of patient assessment procedure; patient teaching process
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Knowledge of medication, administration, via oral, IM and SQ; and medication interactions (drug-drug, drug-food)
