NMC is currently recruiting for Nursing Assistant Trainees. The positions are per diem status (variable hours).


PROGRAM DETAILS:

The training consists of a 10-week program which includes class two evenings a week for 4 hours each evening, and 32 hours of clinical training on the weekends.

  • JOB SUMMARY:
    • The Nursing Assistant Trainee provides quality patient safety monitoring services under the direction of a licensed professional. The Nursing Assistant Trainee proactively maintains a safe environment fo rhte patient by providing continuous monitoring and reporting potential unsafe and harmful behaviors. The Nursing Assistant Trainee is also responsible for cleaning, as well as other duties assigned by the Manager of Environmental Services.
    • The position is split between Patient Safety Sitting, Environmental Services, as well as training to become a LNA.
  • PREREQUISITES

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Enrolled in LNA program.

Experience: No experience required. Prior patient care experience preferred.

Special Skills: Communicates clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing. Has the ability to organize and prioritize multiple competing demands. Has an approachable, friendly demeanor.

Must successfully complete training related to de-escalation of patients and dementia patients within 2 months of hire.

Certifications: Obtains BLS within 90 days of hire.
