We are looking for an EXPERIENCED, motivated, goal-oriented Board Certified Nurse Practitioner for a private, growing cardiovascular practice in beautiful Prescott, Arizona. Nurse practitioner MUST HAVE PRIOR CARDIOLOGY EXPERIENCE.
Responsibilities
SUMMARY- In collaboration with the physician(s)/medical director, assumes clinical responsibility for tasks performed within cardiology Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice. Including: taking patient's history, performing physical examinations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnosis and provide care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention in the adult patient. Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies. Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement program. Works within multidisciplinary team to develop/follow plan for the patient and their family. Able to interpret EKGs, Holter reports, event reports, oversee device clinic, and other relevant roles within scope of practice.
Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will see cardiovascular patients on a daily basis-approximately 15 patients daily. NO WEEKENDS & NO CALL. Position is 3 days per week. We close for lunch from 12-1pm. We close the office on Fridays at noon. We start seeing patients at 8am (one of our providers chooses to start at 7:30am) and your last patient appt would be about 4pm. We are a small group with 2 cardiologists and have an absolutely wonderful working environment-relaxed and peaceful.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's in nursing; Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners
Two years clinical experience in CARDIOLOGY CARE
Hold and maintain national certification in NP area, under AZ regulations
Please list if you are CPR/BLS/ACLS certified (or have other types of certifications)
