Michigan Primary Care Partners is seeking providers to join our team at one of our below locations:

  • Big Rapids, MI
  • Stanwood, MI

General Summary of Duties:

The Internal Medicine provider will offer outpatient primary care treatment to patients seeking routine medical care and those with acute and chronic illnesses, with an emphasis on preventative medicine.

Supervision Received:

Reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer & Administration

Physical Demands:

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires working under stress.

Typical Working Conditions:

Frequent exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to a clinic environment.

Performance Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of preventative medicine, HEDIS guidelines and health screenings.
  • Knowledge of professional medical practice and the ability to give and evaluate patient care.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of medicine to provide on-going patient care.
  • Skill in taking medical history, assessing medical condition and interpreting findings.
  • Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining quality services and quality improvement program.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly.

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited program

Experience:

  • New graduates welcome to apply

License: Certificate/License Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school for Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • State of Michigan Medical License
  • State of Michigan Controlled Substance License
  • Federal DEA License
  • Board Certified
