Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards or care. He/she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible and adaptable to changing systems and assignments; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.

Position Requirements:

Education/Certificates/Licenses:

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
• Current licensures as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• ABLS (Advanced Burn Life Support) required within one year of date of hire/transfer.
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served.
• Successfully pass Pharmacology and Basic EKG rhythm tests at time of hire.
• Must meet clinical standards specific to multiple patient care areas.
• Los Angeles Hospital Fire and Life safety certification required within sixty (60) days of hire.
