Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job description
The Nuclear Med Technologist will be involved in the administration of standard of care treatment and clinical research protocols that involve preparing radioactive drugs and administering them to patients. Responsible for performing a variety of administrative and technical procedures that require the use of independent judgment.

Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains nuclear medicine equipment to assure optimum clarity for physician diagnosis and minimal discomfort and radiation exposure to the patient.
- Performs PET/CT scans and radiotherapy procedures.
- Performs and analyzes quality control procedures for all instrumentation.
- Administers diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals practicing safe handling and appropriate labeling.
- Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine Technology as normally acquired through completion of an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science.
- 1700 hours of clinical instruction required.
- Registry eligible (ARRT (n) or CNMT) with credentialing within one (1) year of hire required.
- Certified by the NMTCB(CT)or obtain NMTCB(CT) certification within one year of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, with I.V. set up skills preferred.
