We are seeking a Recovery Outreach Coordinator who loves connecting with people and helping others to work at Master Center for Addiction Medicine! We are a private, outpatient addiction medicine treatment center headquartered in Glen Allen, Virginia. We have additional offices in Chesterfield, Hampton and Gloucester and we are expanding to provide services to other communities in need, particularly rural communities, where addiction treatment may be difficult to access. Our approach to addiction is comprehensive, evidence-based and individualized, drawing on every tool that has been proven effective: medical treatment, education, psychiatry, professional counseling, testing/monitoring and peer support services. Our aim is not just to treat patients but to heal them – by helping each one find his or her way to lifelong recovery.

The Northern Neck Recovery Outreach Coordinator reports to the Director of Client Development. The Northern Neck Recovery Outreach Coordinator is committed to creating important relationships with referral partners within the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula community (Kilmarnock, Warsaw and King William County).

This office has not yet been opened but we are actively hiring for this role and have an immediate need. Once hired, the will work remotely until the office is opened. It is important that the Northern Neck Recovery Outreach Coordinator create, develop and foster relationships within the community prior to the physical space opening. This is a great fit for anyone with experience in or interest in the fields of addiction and recovery, healthcare, medical offices or mental health. The job requires keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask combined with patience, empathy, and respect for others. This is a position that will involve a significant amount of time in-person and remotely with referral partners and patients, and it requires the ability to communicate effectively in-person, over Zoom calls and over the phone with patients, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with other team members regarding patient care, workflows and operational aspects of the job.

We do candidate assessment batteries. You are required to complete the competencies. If you do not complete the assessments, the hiring manager will not schedule an interview with you after the initial phone interview.

DESCRIPTION: The Recovery Outreach Coordinator is responsible for creating relationships with community resources in the region, including therapists, sober living, law enforcement, hospitals, medical providers, and others that need to refer for substance use disorder treatment. The Recovery Outreach Coordinator will work with the business development team to develop referral pathways and collaborative relationships with referral partners. The Recovery Outreach Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with the Richmond team as needed.

Recovery Outreach Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain referral relationships with therapists, law enforcement, hospitals, medical providers, and others that need to refer for SUD treatment.
  • Schedule presentations with appropriate resources on Master Center model of care and services.
  • Coordinate and participate in events under the direction of the Director of Client Development
  • Serve as primary contact for referrals in the Northern Neck area, coordinate with Richmond-based team for insurance verification and intake appointment.
  • Document referral partner outreach in Hubspot, coordinate with Director of Client Development on mail chimp campaigns and other outreach efforts.
  • Recommend marketing events or initiatives in the Northern Neck area.
  • Assist the Director of Client Development in the creation of and execution of weekly, monthly and/or quarterly marketing events and collaborations.
  • Maintain detailed understanding of all Master Center programs to communicate accurately and effectively with referral resources.
  • Educate and inform referral resources on new programs.
  • Establish an effective referral pathway for referral partners under the direction of the Director of Client Development.

Office Management Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Order office or medical supplies as needed, maintain supply of printed material like patient agreements, ROI, etc.
  • Serve as primary contact with landlord for coordination of schedule or other issues.
  • Coordinate with Richmond team as needed.

Daily Tasks

  • Establish and maintain referral relationships with therapists, law enforcement, hospitals, medical providers and others that need to refer for SUD treatment.
  • Serve as primary contact for referrals in the Northern Neck area, coordinate with Richmond-based team for insurance verification and intake appointment.
  • Document and track phone calls, texts and emails in Hubspot on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate with Richmond team as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Weekly Tasks

  • Schedule presentations with team in Richmond on model of care as needed.
  • Document referral partner outreach in Hubspot, coordinate with the Director of Client Development on Mail Chimp campaigns and other outreach efforts.
  • Maintain detailed understanding of all Master Center programs in order to communicate accurately and effectively with referral resources.
  • Submit weekly agenda and meet weekly with the Director of Client Development.
  • Order office or medical supplies as needed, maintain supply of printed material like patient agreements, ROI, etc.
  • Serve as primary contact with landlord for coordination of schedule or other issues.

Special Projects as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

This position is Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM. Some weekend and evening hours may be required for business development tasks.

This position will cover the Northern Neck & Middle Peninsula area: Kilmarnock, Warsaw, King William County

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $35,000-$45,000 plus an incentive structure based on new patient acquisition
