We are currently searching for motivated and friendly Medical Assistants to join our Clinical Liaison Team for Lakeland Regional Health! If you are passionate about health care and providing top quality service to our patients and our staff.

What are the hours?
Full-time and part-time opportunities, these positions are Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
What will you do?
As a CL medical assistant, you will apply your clinical knowledge, training and experience to serve on the front end of responding to patient needs. This staff member serves as the initial point of contact for patients across the ambulatory environment. The clinical liaison confers with office staff as needed to provide timely responses/resolution to patient needs. Standard operating procedures and established provider protocols serve as a basis for providing consistent and quality driven patient care. Also, you will be responsible for creating a positive impression of LRH services to patients, family members and referring physician offices.
Daily activities may include:

  • Kindly answer all calls promptly using a professional tone
  • Promptly answering incoming phone calls, carefully listening to the caller’s needs and being courteous when responding, and making transfers to other departments within the organization.
  • Follow set guidelines for verifying identity, correctly capturing, recording, and updating all required data for every patient.
  • Verifies insurance when making appointments for all patients.

  • Schedules appointments for new patients. Gives clear, concise instructions regarding information needed prior to the time of the appointment, including handling the records and films.
  • Schedules follow up appointments for established patients. Gives clear, concise instructions regarding information needed prior to the time of the appointment.
  • Refers all unfunded patients to the financial counselors.
  • Adhere to all guidelines set for protecting patient privacy and any confidential information gathered

What qualifications & experience do you need?

  • High School or Equivalent – Required
  • Comfortable handling high call volume and multi-line phones
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer Savviness
  • Tobacco/nicotine free
