Position Overview:

The New Revenue Strategist (Innovation & Strategy) will work collaboratively across OSF departments, developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to establish new, strategic philanthropic partnerships and innovative revenue models that support OSF’s artist-centric, multimodal work, with a particular focus on projects led by the Innovation & Strategy team.

The New Revenue Strategist will report to the Director of Development and work closely with the Director of Individual Giving and the Director of Foundation, Government, and Corporate Giving to support OSF’s fundraising goals and maximize revenue by establishing key relationships and partnerships with corporations, individuals, and foundations.

While technically a member of the Development team, the New Revenue Strategist will be a close collaborator within OSF’s Innovation & Strategy department on a day-to-day basis and on larger initiatives. The Innovation & Strategy department operates in an interconnected ecosystem with the Artistic Programming and New Work departments; embodies OSF Artistic Director Nataki Garrett’s multimodal, intersectional vision; and centers artists and IDEA practices in every area of its work.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):

  • Centers IDEA practices in every step of the work and is a leader and amplifier of OSF Artistic Director Nataki Garrett’s vision for creating a radically accessible space at the intersection of theatre and technology. Attends Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, (ED&I) sexual harassment, and any other anti-bias training and workshops as scheduled by the institution. Models and supports the mission and values.
  • Brings a business development mindset and serves as lead fundraiser for the Innovation & Strategy department:
  • Identifies revenue opportunities, builds and implements fundraising and partnership strategy for various I&S projects spanning live theatre, film, XR/VR/AR, streaming, immersive/interactive experiences, podcasts, and other transmedia projects on O! Digital Stage and in-person, on OSF campus and beyond.
  • Collaborates closely with staff across OSF’s Artistic and Development departments.
  • Acts as a primary Innovation & Strategy contact for active and prospective individual, corporate, and foundation supporters and in-kind technology partners.
  • Serves as an in-house I&S expert and supports the rest of OSF’s Development team in crafting proposals and pitch decks for I&S projects, as opportunities arise.
  • Leads R&D on innovative strategies for resourcing cutting-edge XR, new media technology, and accessibility practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

Work Experience: 7+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: theatre; XR/VR/AR; immersive technologies; art and technology; visual and performing arts; film/TV; or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated success in generating revenue for and collaborating within complex ecosystems.

Qualifications/skills:

  • Strong administrative organizational skills to thrive in fast-paced, evolving circumstances with competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to write and speak clearly and persuasively
  • Strong knowledge across technology platforms, including competency around Microsoft products, project management software, and visual assets creation and management
  • Demonstrated success in establishing strong and productive strategic partnerships
  • Ability to see new opportunities and position OSF to maximize opportunities to increase contributed income
  • Experience in a nonprofit organization is preferred, but not required.

Minimum Position Requirements: Regular and consistent attendance.

Hours Requirements: 40/hrs. a week, ability to work schedule that fluctuates. Position frequently requires weekend and evening work.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills: BA/BFA or higher degree in Theater, Visual Art, Film, Media Art, Immersive Technologies, or equivalent professional experience.

Salary range: $82,500 - $88,000
