We currently have an opening in our Global Innovation Group as a New Product Development Architect.

As a New Product Development Architect, you will define, design, develop and deliver new specialty products and services. You will play a key role in enabling the continued profitable growth of HSB. Through forward-thinking ideation and research into new product concepts, the New Product Development Architect provides critical inputs into HSB’s future product and business strategies.

You will own the development of new products through the entire new product lifecycle and as part of that process and will collaborate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure the product is optimally designed and all operational aspects are considered. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks HSB assumes when considering and preparing to launch a new product.

As a New Product Development Architect, you will engage with key internal and external stakeholders early to build excitement and interest in the product and ensure they understand the benefits the new product will bring to end customers, our distribution partners and to HSB. After product launch, you will continue to monitor product performance and provide thought-leadership, consultation and advice to the business.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Insurance or related field is required or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years’ experience in P&C Insurance industry is required, preferably in Product Development, Underwriting, Finance, Claims or a combination thereof.
  • Master’s degree or JD is strongly preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and within a team environment through strong collaboration and influencing skills
