We are looking for an experienced Long Term Monitoring / EEG Technologist to work full time from our office in the Valparaiso, IN.

Schedule:

Schedule options for 30 to 40 hours a week.

Hourly wage: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour (depends on experience and credentials).

Position Summary: The individual seeking this position will be responsible for understanding how to perform Neurotech EEG Set Ups, EEG Scanning and Remote Monitoring functions. Considered a plus if candidate is experienced working with EPs, has worked with multiple EEG equipment (Xltek, Nihon Kohden, etc…). Ideal candidate will possess outstanding organization, communication, trouble shooting, and customer service skills, be a team player, maintain confidentiality, and be comfortable working with technology.

Experience/Credentials:

• Graduate from an accredited END program and/or 3 years of EEG experience (required)
• 3 years minimum experience in hospital ICU/EMU (required)
• R. EEG T. credentials from ABRET (required)
• CLTM credentials preferred, but not required for LTM responsibilities.
• Thorough knowledge of ICU and neonatal EEG, normal and abnormal EEG patterns, epilepsy and seizure patterns, understands clinical correlates (required)
• In-home healthcare experience (preferred)
• Certification in CPR (required)
• Driver's License (required)

Responsibilities include :

• Driving to patient homes or physician offices to conduct EEG studies
• Conducting EEG hookups using 10/20 system
• Conducting EEG hookups at patient’s residence
• Taking an accurate and detailed patient history
• Utilizing the latest secure technology, monitor ICU and EMU patients with a patient tech ratio of no more than 4:1.
• Review EEG, qEEG and video data
• Clipping and scanning EEG studies
• Cleaning and sterilizing EEG equipment
• Remotely monitoring patients to verify quality of EEG
• Troubleshooting equipment or patient issues, as necessary
• Participating in on-call coverage
