Starting Pay Rate: 37.58 with possible OT potential

Shifts: M-F 7am-3pm with on call duty and additional after hours support as needed.

Scope:

The Network Services Technologist supports and maintains a Cisco based LAN and WAN. The position reports directly to the Network Group Lead. The Network Services Technologist installs, configures, monitors and debugs the network. The position works as an integrated team member to support the manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Depending on specific assignment, Network Services Technologist will have responsibility for some of these responsibilities:

• Maintain routers, bridges, and network connections
• Install, configure, monitor and debug the network
• Utilize industry cabling standards to include fiber, copper, and wireless
• Configure TCP/IP connections to the network
• Develop computer policies and systems to manage end user needs
• Work with Network Specialists and Application System Administrators to maintain computer networks
• Work with contractors to maintain physical network links
• Review logs
• Perform service requests, upgrades, refreshes, backup, patches, and cloning of network configurations
• Participate in local and regional improvement projects
• Utilize the local and regional Helpdesk systems
• Develop capital budgets to maintain hardware requirements
• Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations, and unusual conditions
• Mandatory overtime may be required at holidays and shutdowns
• On-call rotating duty is required
• Additional after-hour support is required as needed

Observes all prescribed safety practices and maintains equipment and work area in a neat and orderly condition. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Basic Qualifications:

• HS Diploma/GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment contingencies
• Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of work-related experience in design, implementation and troubleshooting networks
• CCNA Certification
• CompTia Security+ Certification
