Position Accountabilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, provision new services, and maintain enterprise network standards.
  • Take a lead role in development of network design and architecture to meet company security, redundancy, scalability, and performance goals.
  • Perform policy configuration and maintenance on company firewall and VPN devices.
  • Monitor production voice and data network services and conduct proactive capacity planning.
  • Maintain patch management and software/firmware upgrade procedures for critical network infrastructure.
  • Implement network capabilities that support enterprise disaster recovery processes and business continuity plans.
  • Develop and support service level agreements, network service availability metrics, and management reports.
  • Engage vendors and third-parties when necessary to resolve issues or analyze design options.
  • Participate in enterprise projects as needed to assess technical fit and ensure alignment between business and IT goals.
  • Propose and implement technology focused projects that improve security or improve overall IT capabilities and services.

Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Network Administration Manager.

Position Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associate or Higher College degree, or equivalent work experience required
  • Degree in a computer technology field or related fields is preferred
  • Certification in network related discipline, CCNA preferred
  • 4 years+ of experience within network administration or engineering required
  • CISCO experience strongly preferred
  • Cloud experience strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to communicate and interact successfully with a diverse community and to develop and maintain positive professional relationships with the team and our customers.
  • Broad knowledge of network design and troubleshooting concepts, including an in depth knowledge of Cisco networking technologies. Hands-on device configuration skills required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco ASA firewall administration.
  • Understanding of current network technologies and concepts including, network access control (NAC), software defined networks (SD-WAN), and wireless LAN topologies.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative thinking and problem solving.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Other

  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Rotating after hours on-call support required.

Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
