Overview:
This role will partner with the head of negotiations to further the operational efficiency of the negotiations department. The Operations Manager will lead and empower the operations team in areas of process improvement, performance reporting, change management, communication strategies and document retention. Knowledge of the Negotiations Department and its business strategy is key as this knowledge is required to design, develop, and implement various initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary source of information for the Operations, Negotiations, and Creditor Queue teams; liaise between management and team members
  • Create and continuously audit change management procedures for the department; coordinate communications and changes with other departments
  • Build-out strategic action plans regarding new policies and procedures, department standards and expectations
  • Ensure department changes are effectively communicated and trained to those affected
  • Continuously manage process improvements to reduce waste and build department efficiency
  • Oversee reports related to current and historical data for future department projections
  • Oversee drafting and version control of department manuals, policies, and procedures with the L&D team
  • Analyze team KPI’s and performance metrics to make staffing recommendations
  • Coordinate with Managers and Directors in Negotiations to streamline information between all team members in the department
  • Train and develop Operations team members; interview prospective candidates and on-board new hires
  • Manage and provide coaching, feedback, and encouragement to employees to promote the growth and development of the team
  • Create alignment of initiatives and resources with company values; ensure cross-organization collaboration and employee involvement where appropriate
  • Assist in quality control within procedures and employee workflow for the entire department
  • Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Strong leadership, analytical, documentation, and project management skills
  • Results-oriented, detail-oriented, and process-oriented with a proactive approach to driving success
  • The employee is expected to be punctual and ready to report to work on a consistent basis
  • The employee will be exposed to a fast-paced environment and is expected to be able to adjust accordingly


Physical Requirements
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, look at a computer screen for extended periods of time; and reach with hands and arms
  • This is a fulltime position with 8-hour work days and 40-hour work weeks plus overtime as needed
  • Lifting no more than 10 pounds

Compensation Information: Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $90,000-$105,000.
