In this role you will:

• Help us continue to grow our brand of high-performance barges and boats with innovative designs that look as good as they perform
• Apply diversified knowledge of engineering principals and practices in broad areas of technical responsibilities.
• Perform design calculations and drawing development to new builds and revisions.
• Provide hull form and hydrodynamic performance, including development of hull form geometry and lines plans, hydrostatics and curves of form, resistance, and powering estimates, propulsor design and performance, appendage design, development of model test plans, and observing and analyzing data from full-scale trials
• Provide concept and feasibility design studies addressing whole boat/barge sizing and performance analyses, requirements validation, and design optimization
• Perform design integration, coordinating inputs from various naval architectural and other engineering disciplines, such as marine engineering and structures, into balanced, closed solution designs to establish principal characteristics and design features such as length, beam, depth, draft, displacement, speed, and other performance parameters

• Participate in scheduled project review sessions and meetings on technical and engineering issues.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• BS degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or STEM equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the design, testing and/or operation of marine vehicles or MS degree with 2 years of experience
• Proficiency with naval architectural principles, tools, and calculations
• Proficiency in using common engineering design, production, analysis, and office tools

Salary Range: $80,000 USD - $120,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
