Purpose of Job

The National Sales Administrator/Analyst is responsible for the collection, analyzing, and reporting of sales-related data in an ongoing effort to increase overall sales productivity. Manage and control all National Chains Portals to support the Department. The National Sales Administrator/Analyst must collect sales data and evaluate performance based on budgets while taking into consideration current economic conditions. The National Sales Administrator/Analyst will be required to coordinate third party brands and to initiate and coordinate administrative matters in order to facilitate efficient and effective communication and workflow and will also perform administrative support duties.

key outputs/deliverables

  • Collect, analyze, evaluate and report data in order to increase sales productivity.
  • Analyze sales and performance (Sell in and Sell out) data; interpret results of overall sales, and recommend promotional activities.
  • Work with Procurement by providing them with the necessary information and guidance the for short and long-range forecast.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and monthly status reports.
  • Compile monthly customer and product sales reports.
  • Collect and analyze sales history to:
  • Prepare and present budgets by customers, brand, category, and material.
  • Support the team with data and presentations for management and National customers.
  • Compile Sales Incentive Program data and generate performance reports.
  • Provide daily sales updates to the Sales team.
  • Pricing and gross margin management to ensure optimal pricing and margins are achieved.
  • Coordination of third-party brands

Principal Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the complete sales reporting and forecasting process for all sales channels.
  • Collect sales records and trends and evaluate performance against the budget.
  • Generate ad hoc reporting for Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Business Planing and Product Management
  • Provide customized reporting and recommendations in support of ongoing business decisions or initiatives.
  • Communicate results to key stakeholders in order to support informed business decisions by providing in-depth analysis and recommendations.
  • Creates and Maintains Sales Reports to enable Managers to monitor business progress.
  • Upload the monthly forecast in SAP.
  • Develop monthly, quarterly and/or annual sales forecast in collaboration with the Sales, Marketing and Procurement team
  • Analyze the activities and performance of all customer accounts.
  • Conduct regular analysis on pricing effectiveness and recurring trends; create actionable item lists based on findings.
  • Provide tracking and analysis for all sales promotions, including pre/post analysis as well as benchmarking of various promotions.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3- 5 years of analytical experience.
  • Advanced/Expert level in MS Excel required
  • Proficiency in Pivot is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problems solving skills
  • Proficiency in financial operations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Key Competences

  • Computer Skills: must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products to facilitate data analysis and reconciliation of accounts and report preparation. SAP knowledge is an asset.

  • Communication: speaks and writes clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; demonstrates presentation skills and must be able to interact with management, warehouse, sales, and marketing personnel.

  • Experience in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)/retail or grocery distribution environment and customer service oriented.
